Ughh Oliver, you might have no comment on this, but let me just say that Drake has done way more than Kanye this past year, he should have the #3 or even the #2 spot. He's done more than Jay this year too. Kanye just started coming out with new music, and his GOOD Friday songs have been great, but Drake has been putting out music all this year, his songs and features are all over the radio, he's done a tour with no album out, his debut sold a million copies, and he's currently on a tour that's almost completely sold out. Based off this year, Drake should be before Ye. Buut like I said before, this list has Waka Flocka on as one of the hottest MCs...so I can't take it seriously. *Ye shrug*

Drake has definetly blown this year up! however its greatest MCs of all time, when drake has put in the amount of work that Kanye has and produced hits YEAR after Year then he can move up. For his first year being #4 aint bad.
im a bigger fan of drake by far BUT i think kanye has one thing over him and that is his artistic visions. he pulls out stops that people dont expect. Although I do believe as an artist it is your responsibility to build your credibility from your music and from your character. Some of you are confusing the list title. This list was Hottest MCs of 2010. Not greatest of all time. Therefore, you can understand some who say how did Ye beat Drake when Ye just started his 2010 year half way through it. Now if you believe what he's doing now is better than what Drake has consistently done since 09 or even 08, fine that's your opinion.
But if you are positioning who was hot in a 12 month span and Ye was active in only 4 in those 12, him at #3 makes no sense.

Great post! I would have to agree with the round table on this one. Don't get me wrong, I love Drake's music, but he still has growing to do as an artist, and I doubt he'd disagree with me. Kanye is reaching a plateau in his career after years of honing his unique sound an style, so let him have it (#3 spot). Drake's shining moment isnt here yet, but when it is, we will definately be dazzled. The best is yet to come, Im sure of it.

I'm a HUGE Drake fan and been following him from day 1 when he was on flow talkin bout hes startin to rap and I have to say it was fair, in the end you have to look at all the things Drake brings to the table and what Kanye brings to the table. I was also appalled at Drake's position on the list. But the most annoying part to me was how high they put Jay, given that he didn't even put out an album and the only success he's had in 2010 was singles from last year and verses on Ye's and Drake's songs. If you just look at his body of work from the year 2010, it's obvious that he isn't putting in the work that any of these other artists are. And for that reason I think it's a serious disservice to the younger mcs below him to just say "Oh yeah, Jay-Z just stayed great from last year." I think a contest between Em, Ye, and Drake for the #1 spot is completely understandable, since two of them have put out commercially successful albums with numerous singles, and the other has been snowballing an unbelievable amount of hype for the past few months surrounding his forthcoming record.
But for Jay to even come close to the top of the 2010 list is just wrong. :/

Drake is doing something lyrically that is absolutely impossible for Kanye to do. Shout out to Kanye for being a well rounded hard worker, but Drake has more than that. Kanye can't touch him in any vocal part of the game. Drake hands down
O.k yes i have to give it up for kanye, but i'm sorry if we are talking about artists that are the best in our time, well...............Drake you got robbed!!!! I don't feel that he should have moved up past you although, just as some constructive criticism i have heard that your shows could be better.I know that as an artist you strive to be better. beauty about Drake is that he says the things you always think but never say. he puts into words the emotions and thoughts you didn't realize were relevant until they struck a cord with you. theres this honesty, and maturity in the way that he presents himself, but theres a mystery there. he tells you so much, but at the same time you still know so little.

The thing I understand DRAKE is that he is real no gimmicks. What a most enjoy about this individual is that he is a real person, a real human being. Not an actor or a RAPPER, he is authentically confident n believes in who he is in his own skin and isn't afraid to express it. Infact it's how he expresses his thoughts and feeling in his music is what's got me soo excited to see him live.
