"Stay up. Be aware. Be innovative. Let’s keep making this shit interesting. I love Drake. I’m not hating on young people. Like, when people say that, I’m like, What are you talking about? It’s just stupid. I’m not hating on young people. I love Drake. I worked with him on the album. Every time they ask me what I’m listening to, it’s So Far Gone and Kings of Leon. Them two [acts] owe me money. I’m not Bill Russell, [saying] Michael Jordan ain’t shit. I’m saying Lil Wayne and Kanye are like LeBron and Kobe. My job as someone at the forefront of the game is to leave it in a better position than when I came in. Same way that Russell [Simmons] left it to me. ’Cause this thing saved my life. Literally. So I have a responsibility to it karmically."

I'm sorry but I think he's a little overrated. I look at Jay-Z how Drake looks at Motown. I don't fuck with his music at all. Dude is cool with the flow and lyrics...but when it comes to beats...that's where he falls off. I look at the whole pictures. Someone that can bring a hot beat, bomb lyrics, and a solid hook is bigger than hip-hop in my opinion.

Quite literally The Blueprint 3 is the manifestation of Kanye's "Crack Music" period. The music is old school, and the lyrics hit hard. I'm tryin to think of another hip hop artist that has attained as much as Jay from a business perspective; I got nothing. I don't know if 'above' is the right word, but he's def ahead of the curve.

To get a cosign from Jay-Z is always ill. He knows real talent when he sees it. So that's a vet in the game showing love to a real artist. @The Heap, reality check man: Jay-Z got lyrics, but he's not responsible for the beats. So if you really wanna look at the whole picture, then you should really know what the deal is. If you think Jay-Z is overrated, then it's probably due to the fact that you might be a hater! LOL

Jay-Z is not one of the best. He is the best. I'm not talking lyrically. I'm talking in the Hiphop business period. He's sitting on top because he knew exactly what to do with his talent. A few years ago when Jay and Nas were battling one another, you could have argued who was a better MC. But the Hiphop game isn't about who's the better MC. It's more about how far you can take your skills. And in that respect Jay-Z is the fucking man.

So really, getting a co-sign from Jay-Z is the biggest co-sign an artist today can get.
