Common stated that he is [beefing with Drake] for Hip Hop.
He feels as if the state of Hip Hop has changed for the worse since artists such as Drake came on scene and strayed away from the traditional sound by opting a hybrid of singing/rapping.
There is also rumours that Serena Williams may have had something to do with it, as she is known for being a long-time lover to Common and now friend with Drake.
Common suggests, in his latest freestyle over Rick Ross's "Stay Scheming" that most of Drake's one-liners about getting with someone elses girl stem from his relationship with Serena Williams.
Love Common but my thing is why can't he and other Drake critics just let the dude live? Everything is not for everybody.
