Cool performance. Loved the "Make Me Proud" song and performance. I haven't purchased an album/cd in a while. I'm thinking that I'm gonna go ahead and get Take Care when it drops.

I think it helps with the whole young money thing to do songs with label mates but Drake is not like the rest of young money. It is confusing but a smart move on both ends. Drakes voice touches my soul. His music talks about relationships all the time and I think Drake is single? I dunno. That is why all the chicks are like pick me. Drake said he is not gay on SNL but was he acting or is he straight? If so, that eliminates all the men :) YAY
To start off I love Drake, and I LOVE Headlines. I have listened to his albums more than any other artist combined with another. That being said, I think that this performance of the song could have been better. He sounded off key on some of it and just blatantly off on other parts. Drake, your amazing, don't be lazy.
Feel free to personally attack me or whatever for my opinion but I know he can do better; he's best rapper out there right now.

I have a thought... I know what's bothering me about this new sound to Headlines... It's too busy.
When I do interior decorating some Feng Shui which I consider an art, you don't want to get too many pattern colors on your walls and have sites that are overly detailed, but you don't want to have too many solids in a room because that would be boring? So you mix it up and put some solids colors by some patterns of color to balance the active areas verses the relaxed areas in the room. It's not too busy, not too relaxed, just comfortable to sit. Feng Shui is an art of creating a positive energy and balancing a room.
Headlines on SNL was not comfortable to my ears because I think mainly the electric guitar just jamming randomly over a beat while you rap, like Nicki, like Wayne, then like yourself... It's too busy, too much detail. It needs to be simplified. I like the idea of rap/rock. It's newer and an awesome idea, but it's like my wall with too many patterns...overly active, overly detailed -- too much. You should cut some of the busy parts away to balance the sound. You know the guitar clashed with the beat, and I don't know if I should listen to the guitar or the rhythm. Maybe the beat should have stopped so that the guitar could jam alone? I think it's better to separate them and give each a turn. Instrumental, rhythm then vocal? Vocal then instrumental, then rhythm? Not all at once though, it's too much.
Linkin Park did something like that, a lot of screaming emo to a rap beat, but I think they balanced the beat of the music by cutting instrumental and holding longer vocal notes of course they were screaming, but...I don't prefer screaming; however, they did pull it off without overloading the audience. I think you could do that too.
I don't know if that helps, but it's what I think so... :) Well have a great night!!!

Drake was HILARIOUS on the SNL. Ana Farris was great too, that was one of my favorites. His interview, Weekend Update, and second performance were all my favorites. Go Drake!
