I think you addressed the modern problems of this generation. People want access to everything right now. There is no sense of moderation, and people are insatiable. They want instant gratification. We live in a world where everything/everyone is so accessible. If you truly want something, anything, you can have it instantly. This world is fast paced, and it's not slowing down any time soon.
Speaking of fast paced, they say that those that live fast, die young. The type of people I think of are probably Tu Pac, Notorious BIG, Aaliyah, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Elvis, Janis Joplin, Freddie Mercury and Kurt Cobain. It's beyond sad that these musicians are gone forever, but they lived fast.
My father died young, and I know from personal experience that death is real. Living fast has it's consequences. Now I have to live the rest of my life without knowing what it's like to have a father. My father was a good person. In his life, he believed in being honest and charity. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the death toll nearly reached 2000 people, my dad dropped everything about his life, and was one of the first volunteers there to help those in need. He pulled people out of floods, helped people to shelter and safety. When no one, not even the federal government, would help the people in New Orleans, my dad spent his own money and time to help those in need. He was a good person, and he loved people, all kinds. My dad was definitely a hero. It's a sad world without him. The good definitely die young.
You remind me so much of my dad that I fear the worst sometimes. You're one of the good ones, and I'd never want to lose you. I hope you slow things down, that you live a long, healthy and happy life, and that good things come your way. I don't have a crystal ball, but I am very intuitive. It's a cold world and life is short. Take time with loved ones, love deeper, live slower, and give forgiveness. I hope you take care. :) I'll be cheering you on. October 24th all the way!!! :)
