I grew up around hiphop because of my best friend Chris, and his brother Shane. But It was my sister (Ms. Shebib, Shout outs to CTS) that gave me this exact mixtape in 1995 that made me REALLY fall in love with hiphop. I was 12.
Its DJ TDK "Rap Attack", number 3 if im not mistaken. I saw it online recently and downloaded a crappy version of it, which inspired me to remaster my sisters tape which i recently stole from her, again, 15 years later. Some of my favorite songs ever are on this mixtape.

Mix Tapes meant so much more back then when making one was a real labor. I remember my boy Tone had one with Winter Warz, Assassination Day, D'Evils, and Eye for an Eye on it, plus some Gravediggaz.
IT WAS FIRE. We used to all steal it from eachother, and be like "nah man, ain't seen it, check under the front seat."

TDK! I remember in the mid 90s when I used to buy "mixtapes" of Baby Blue Sound Crew and DJ Mastermind here in T.O. I gotta say though 40, your production makes me proud to be Canadian. I'm from the JD/Dilla era and to be honest, this is the best I've heard since then. The futuristic soul you've created is on some next level. I live in the neighborhood where Metal Works is located and can't believe you guys created this classic there. Keep it up homie, you give some of us old hip-hop/r&b heads some hope for the future.
