And thats how its done...way to redeem yourself, lesson learnt I'm assuming. Also glad to see you choice to do the video in Toronto of all places. Keep reppin for Tdot!
im a fan and this is a solid video no doubt but i see more potential as an artist from you
so ill say whats real
+ it was sick to see you in your hometown, riding around the same streets that you were probably envisioned the success you have achieved.
+the setting, dark, gloomy.. complimented the beat perfectly
+you had the money, cars, clothes--sick gear too
- a few of the short scenes was a bad shot, looked awkward and i thought should have been edited out of the video..(one you blinked like 50 times lookin at sky and it looked stupid)
-you didnt reinact last verse. i thought a scene of u and ur ma in the driveway followed by you being out buying mad drinks with your crew (40, oliver..who i thought should have made an appearence in the vid)would have been sick.
i love the video..but seriously, what haven't i liked from you? but as u already told me when u were in houston..u dont really need the hoes. REMEMBER THAT! one.
the video was good, but it was kinda eye straining at some points. what happened to Wayne's part? and also i though the video was suppose tot end with yall arriving at the studio...
i feel like this video doesn't add up to the song... the video should of had like a real storyline of someone who became successful not bout y'all just drivin round in a car lookin at others... i abs love almost every song drake makes or is featured but his talent is not being portrayed correctly in the vids..... its just like drake is any other artist when he is NOT... and where is Weezy at? his verse was sick too.... one thing that artists fail in now a days is the need for special effects when really a video should display the story of the song....thats all im sayin
Nice. I like it. But when Drake was on the balcony, there where different clip scenes in the middle of you rapping. Looked a bit wierd. Nice job though.
I fucks wit it.....Toronto looks a little like NY in this video....You don't have to want to be successful no more you there....3 songs on the top of the charts..And I know you ain't done yet....I'm riding wit ya all the way Drizzy......100
Everyone wants a literal interpretation of the song...that's so 1980's.
I like this video. It's moody (like the track) and I dig the cuts where Drake and Trey are seeing themselves in the shoes of some of the people they encounter.
Drake I lov all ur music like my ipod iz full wit it but The only person i think the video supported was Trey like it wasn't bad but Trey had all the good parts but it was ur song..idk But Imma always b a fan nd I don't think the vids show all ur potential but den again ya muzic truley speaks 4 itself. Imma get that Thank me later thogh wen it drops. Peace,Love Queenosofly
Stupid dope... The boy Trey did that (Ya'll stop sleepin on'em, the boy is dope) I guess this was the album version. No Wayne is a good look too... can't wait til the album drops...
When i Waz watching it, i waz killin myself cause i thought i should have like walked into goodfoot or Ransom (casue of the money, cars, clothes on the hook) and like look at clothes but whne u come to buy it, u open ur wallet and there waz no $$$ that would hav been pretty sick!
I knew he could do it, everyones talking about how he has no stage skills, or video skills, and he proved them wrong! Keep proving them wrong, cause thats what you do best ! DRIZZY!
p|s i am not a groupie, i just know a real artist when I see one.
Drizzy straight killing it. Big up to TO in the background. I have not been as excited about an artist since I first heard Reasonable Doubt back in 96. Respect.
Ok ok so after watchin the video a second time...i can somewhat agree...the video is deep i didn't notice everything...so i like it a lil better now...i suppose i had to get used to it...its a strong concept.. i like....
love this video and the song drake! especially how you were reppin toronto. i saw you in toronto and i was so happy you came out and performed even with your hurt leg, it made my entire night. you're the best rapper i've ever heard, also an amazing singer. keep up the great work and feel better! much love :) (L) ps you're looking pretty sexy
Mr. Graham, are you in a relationship with Mother Earth? 'Coz you are on fire AND you are moving faster than a hurricane. [not intended to be a pick up line!] Love the video, love you in MJB's video...I'm predicting a win at the MMVAs.
Right now, you're the only artist making things hot around here.
call me a hater but i'm watching 106th & Park and drake is talking about "successful" but i'm distracted by the size of his head. i mean he's talking but his skull is going off on a tanget...it's astronomical. what is he a 10 in fitteds? lmfao i still respect dude though :) on a different note, trey songz' svelte ass can get touched!
I saw the video. I'm really feeling the whole album, honestly. I bumped it for about a month straight. Successful was actually my favorite song. I had a totally different vision for it though. I don't know what the budget was on it, but I pictured a lot of fading shots of money, and the ladies, maybe shopping in a high end store. Sounds atypical for a video, but that was what the lyrics depicted. Just an overall crazy mesh of what it is to be Successful right now. Should have been more flossin'. Not hating at all though, I think your still doing a stand up job man. I'm impressed.
I love both of them as artists although my personal favorite of Trey was back in the old "gotta make it" days lol this video is a perfect representation of what Drake can do as an artist. I love him in my opinion than anyone but I felt he needs\ed to grow as a performer and this video gave me hope to which he is learning fast. when a scholar you tend to learn faster. love you babe.
The post is very nicely written and it contains many useful facts. I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement. Thanks for sharing with us.

Love the song don't like drakes face, he is not sexy at all. But, his lyrics are RAW and thats all that matters.
opening scene and the camera action in treys verse were the best points of video.
that jake davis is talented no doubt.. good choice
ive always like the song but the video doesn't really have nothing to do with the song but a least its better then best i ever had
IM LOVIN THIS!!! And Trey's verse was hot! You redeemed yourself for that first video a hundred times over. Yall did an AMAZING job. =)
SICKKK VIDEO.....TORONTO STAND UP!
I liked it. I do wanna say though that I liked the video for Best I Ever Had. I don't get all the hate for it. But whatever to each their own.

Love the film noir videography, the video is sick.
