well...he tried

things i liked about the original song was that drake and trey was sincere in wat they were saying/singing/rapping..this dude sound he just did it just to do it; i.e., fake

I know his version is all over the place these past few days... but I really cant get with it. I know Solja is creative in the way he gets and keeps his fans and his utilization of the web and all... but the person he portrays is a GREEDY ungrateful self righteous ignorant little boy. I love his music but i dont know why he tried to get on a drake track and make it better.. that goes for all those trying to do remixes of his stuff.
There should just be a Successful and Best I Ever Had remix album.

When I saw there was a Soldier Boy remix for this, I said to myself, "Self, What the Fuck."

"Successful" is the type of song Soldier Boy shouldn't even be near. He keeps saying how comfortable he is in his lane, therefore he should stay the fuck in it.

hhhmmmmm its soulja boy lol what can i say

The last thing he should've done is remixed a song by a praised lyrical rap artist. I will admit that this is good coming from Soulja Boy...but terrible if done by a good/great rap artist. It does show improvement.I applaud him for trying to be more lyrical. Word on the street is that he's getting rapping lessons from Gucci Mane. They both need to keep working at it.

wow are you serious? this dude really is ignorant,i know hes like 18 or 19 but dawg im 19 and im sittin here like "this dude is ignorant, i didnt hear one punchline that impressed me" he's talkin bout youtube beefs, and he mentions the most over used qoute ever, life gives you lemons make....nvm haha. MAKE BEATS,MAKE MONEY AND DONT SAY A SINGLE WORD ON A RECORD,DONT YOU GET IT BY NOW?

Zach said...

boo. Soulja Boy is off rhythm in the song anyway

foxxy said...

trash.

yes, lets take a bunch of freshly withdrawn 100 dollar bills from the bank and just poor it over the couch as if this was a "stash house".. i think the concept of "successful" went completely over soulja boys head.

ptown beauty said...

not really a soulja boy fan..he has his moments..

Jason Battersby said...

Ugh.. he's so off beat.. at least he could have got that part right. Soulja stay in your lane, not feeling his wanna-be Drake metaphores/style.

Jas. said...

narcissism at it's "greatest"...but it wouldn't be soulja boy now would it?..honestly not really liking this remix...

Janine said...

Damn the remix...Imma need Soulja Boy to put his shirt on and KEEP it on.

Best Soulja Boi lyrics and still garbage Im dissapointed that Drake would even let someone like Soulja Boi get on any of his tracks.

Yo, nobody LET'S anybody get on nothing. The beat is out there and ANYONE can get on it.

Like I said before, hip hop fans have become SO OVER-CRITICAL that it's sickening.

This is the best verse I've ever heard from Soulja Boy. It's like even if he tries to get better, people will still hate. It's sad.

...And don't act like you've never at least bobbed ur head a little or tapped your feet to one Soulja Boy song in your life. Get the sticks out your behinds with all that uppitiness.

SOULJA BOY is SO SO LAME. WHY is he featured on this site???? YOU are doing and INJUSTICE to YOURSELF and to the COMMUNITY at LARGE by even giving mention to his EXISTENCE!!!!. He is NOT a RAPPER!!! his so called "raps, songs" what ever one may call them are TRASH, BASURA!!! YES I SAID IT TRASH!!! He is and IGNORANT, and ILL-Educated BOY!!! he should take a hiatus away from the "music" industry (if one can even call what he does music)and READ a book or two...

IN short PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Resist the urge to post anymore news REGARDING SOULJA BOY unless its regarding demise.

this is the best song souljaboy(tellem) has done lyrically ..lots of metaphors and analogies...I think he knows he had too much pressure to deliver with this beat
BUT...
Drizzy killlllled this beat..his 16s really do arrive in hearses and cant NOBODY do a "successful" remix or cover to Successful..I just dont see it happening. sorry soulja boy, i know you tried.

Jazmine said...

he killed that,

Jr. said...

of coarse couldn't add up to Drake.........but I think it sucked
Soulja Boy did good on the Ice Cream Paint Job remix, but I think he slacked greatly on this

IMO

soulja boy is garbage. why did he have to butcher this song. i used to like it so much. now i have to lissen to the drake original 100 times to get that solja trash outta my head. lol

the real D Carter said...

when life gives u lemons make lemonade??? really soulja boy? come on. evrybody knows ur NEVER allowed to incorporate sayings lik that into an ACTUAL rap. might as well have said nick nack patty wack give a dog a bone. LMAO sheeeesh. smh

i really do hate when niggas hate on soulja, this lil nigga didnt make this song to out-do drake he made this song to pay homage to drake,he tryna give people inspiration through out all the things people say about him (comment's below) that you gotta fuck that shit and do you, this nigga didnt come out saying aww yeah im the best rapper alive, he was just minding his business, making a song for his myspace for his internet fans that he happened to get signed for and sold more than most niggas do in they career and that make them hate soulja

SAD, let soulja have his time to shine,
