XXL: Besides “Brooklyn Go Hard,” Lil Wayne and Drake’s “Unstoppable” also sampled your song. What are your thoughts on rappers taking these indie records and bringing them to a broader audience?
Santi: I think it’s great. It takes artists like them to open up the minds of the mainstream audiences. Hopefully it will inspire people who only listen to hip-hop to do some research and check out other kinds of music.

I agree I feel that a lot of Hip Hop fans should add more genres to their playlist I always liked more genres but Drake helped me like even more Santigold and M.I.A. go hard by the way.

I hope more artist get exposure for real. There are so many artist that are slept on. Hip Hop sample (good sampling) is a little like "VH1 You Ot To KNow" by allowing cool artist to get some.

The music is quite pleasant to the ears and Lil Wayne is creative in the last couple of years.
This kind of music is the one i appreciate more in my daily playlist.
I am not much of a fan of Santi, but she overall a good musician.
